For my good friend, and immensely talented Jim Douglas.  This song lists some of the things he’s done in his life.  You should see what he does in his spare time!

I know a man called James Douglas, everyone just calls him Jim
His talents are numerous, some of them humorous
Jack of all trades that’s him
Like undertaker and joiner physiotherapist too
Art teacher silversmith songwriter sprinter and poet to name but a few

The man’s a living legend his work is well known far and near
And every concert’s a sell-out when he is due to appear
Prince Philip once wrote him a letter, he’s met Gordon Brown and his wife
He’s the Bard o‘ Glenfarg, the King o Kinross, and the Deputy Sherriff of Fife

His songs range from tragic to funny from war to the famed Turra coo
And teacher’s that yell when a schoolboy can’t tell if a dove is the same as a doo
He’s the unsung hero of miners, for lending his voice to their cause
And writing first hand of a harsh lesson learned at the end of a Lochgelly tawse

He’s the Bard o‘ Glenfarg, the King o Kinross, and the Deputy Sherriff of Fife
